Through a community diaper drive, support for the H20 golf outing and gala, and outreach to women facing unplanned pregnancies, we’re seeking to engage community members in Bolingbrook and surrounding areas.
In June, we hosted a table at the Village of Bolingbrook picnic to increase awareness of our services and kick off our community diaper drive. We had collection bins at two area park district buildings and donated the collected diapers to two local organizations that serve under-resourced families.
Holt-Sunny Ridge was also an event hole sponsor at the 13th annual Heart Haven Outreach Golf Outing & Gala on July 14. H2O is a Bolingbrook non-profit that offers programs and activities for area teens, including support groups, mentoring, character and life skills education, tutoring, service opportunities and recreation. Kristina Knapp and Nancy Crouch volunteered at the evening gala, selling raffle tickets to the guests. We were pleased to support H2O at their biggest fundraiser of the year.
This summer, we’ve advertised through Pandora radio, movie theaters and Pace busses to increase our community presence. These ads highlight our services to women experiencing unplanned pregnancy. We want them to know that we are here to listen and help them make an adoption plan, if they so choose. Be on the lookout for Holt-Sunny Ridge bus ads coming soon near Bolingbrook!
