Alen and Eileen are waiting to welcome a child into their heart and home through open adoption. Learn more about them!

Dear Birth Mom/Family,

Hello and thank you for considering us in your adoption journey.   We realize you have a difficult decision to make and commend you for considering adoption.

We both love kids and always knew we wanted more than one.  After several failed fertility treatments we decided to pursue adoption to grow our family.  We were blessed to bring home Faith thru adoption when she was a baby but have always wanted her to be a big sister.

We promise that our children will always know the story of how they joined our family.  Our relationship is built on love, trust, respect and honesty and will raise our children to value these traits in themselves and others.

We hope we have the opportunity to meet with you and if you choose us we would be forever grateful for you and the child you have chosen to share with us.

Our Story & How We Met

We met over 25 years ago when Eileen became best friends with Alen’s younger sister.   We started dating when Eileen was a senior in high school and soon realized we had found our soulmate.  We were married in 2000 after we both completed college. We decided to pursue adoption to grow our family and were blessed to bring home Faith in 2010.

Our Home & Community

We live in a small town in south-west Wisconsin.  We live on a quiet street where we are one house away from the town park.   Several of Faiths close friends live only a block or two away.

Our Families

Eileen is the oldest of three siblings.  She grew up on a small family dairy farm that is about 30 minutes from our house.  Eileen’s family believes in large family gatherings where setting the table for over 20 for holidays is normal.   Eileen’s family recently celebrated 50 consecutive years showing dairy at the county fair, Faith is continuing that tradition.

Alen is the middle child, he has two sisters.  Alen’s parents live about 25 minutes away and we visit them a few times a month and call frequently.  Alen’s sisters live farther away but we call and visit when possible. Every year we have a mini family reunion at camp where we enjoy catching up with a few aunts and uncles around the campfire.

What We Do

Doing things together is very important to us.  We especially love when we can be together as a family on nature hikes, camping or day-tripping around southwest Wisconsin.

Alen enjoys helping coach the school basketball team that Faith is on.  He especially likes to see the girls improve from the start of the season to the end.

Eileen has fun being leader of the 4-H club that Faith is active in.  Faith loves that she can be an officer in the club as well as make the projects, show animals and be involved in many of the activities the club participates in.  Eileen enjoys sharing her creative skills with kids.

Our whole family helps on the farm doing chores, we go several times a week to help.  The saying ‘many hands make light work’ is very true and we get as many family members helping as possible to get everything done. Between chores Faith loves to play with the cats and works with the calves she takes to the fair.

Thank You

Thank you for taking a moment to get to know our family and want we love to do.  If you choose us we would be forever grateful.
