Jerome and Laura are waiting to welcome a child into their heart and home through open adoption. Learn more about them!
Dear Birth Mom/Family,
Hello! We are Jerome, Laura, and Jack. We met out West in Portland, OR. We enjoy traveling, hiking adventures, swimming, visiting local parks and zoos and date nights. We also really enjoy football in our house, We have a Packers and Seahawks rivalry, and on football Sundays you will see us all supporting our teams!
We have always wanted to have a family and decided the best way to do that was through adoption. We have one son, Jack who was adopted from Texas. Jack has been a blessing since the first day we held him in our arms. Now, we are ready to make Jack a big brother.
Thank you for reading about us. We cannot imagine how difficult the decision to make an adoption plan must be for you. We admire beyond words the choice you have decided to make. The gift of adoption is a blessing to our whole family. We cannot wait to show you the love we have in hearts!
Our Story & How We Met
We met in downtown Portland, at Laura’s favorite restaurant. We dated for over a year and were engaged on the beautiful island of Victoria, British Columbia.
We were married at Laura’s childhood church, where we are now members, on a perfectly hot & humid day in June. We recently celebrated 7 years of marriage. We were unable to become pregnant and adoption was ideal for us.
Jerome was born and raised in a small town in Washington, the youngest with two other brothers in the home he gained the families love of soccer quickly. His mother was a public-school math teacher and his dad held many jobs and also helped coach his soccer teams. He even had his mom for a subject or two.
Laura was brought up in a small town in west central Wisconsin. Her parents still live in the same house she grew up in. Her and her one and only older brother went to Catholic school from kindergarten to graduation. Her dad is a CPA and also helped coach her softball team for many seasons and her mom worked part time so she could attend her extracurricular events. They are both wonderful grandparents to Jack and can’t wait for another grandchild to spoil!
God has blessed us with our son Jack, who was born in our hearts all the way from Texas. We received the match call and flew down that same day. We stayed in Texas for a week with family as we waited for things to move forward. We have always wanted to grow our family and have always wanted a sibling for Jack to bond and play with! He just started 4k and loves to ride the school bus.
Our Home & Community
We live in a Central Wisconsin town that is a great community for raising children. Laura grew up in this town. It is amazing that Jack and future sibling will get to experience that, too. We actually live three houses down from Laura’s parents, the same neighborhood and house she grew up in. We love having our yard to garden and play in! These are all in our backyard where there is plenty of room to run around and enjoy the weather!
Family is very important to us. Laura has one brother. He and his wife are Jack’s Godparent’s and are excited to be an aunt and uncle again. Laura’s parents are even more excited to be grandparents for the second time. They enjoy loving up on Jack and their younger nephews who live here in the same small town. We are close with much of Laura’s extended family near and far!
Jerome and his two brothers were raised by their parents in a small town outside of Portland, OR in Washington. We have a total of 8 nieces and nephews on his side of the family. His dad, Papa Don passed away recently so we are all learning this new walk of life.
Our cousins and friends
We love having cousins and friends like family for Jack and his new sibling to make memories with. We have always loved children, and both of us are Godparents to nieces, cousins and friends kids. Children bring so much fun and joy to our life!
We appreciate you taking the time to learn about our family. We hope you will consider letting us provide a loving home for your child to grow in. Adoption has blessed our family and our hearts forever. Jack’s open adoption, which we communicate with letters and pictures, continues to fill our hearts with joy. You are in our prayers as you go through this process and beyond.
