On Saturday, May 14, we welcomed over 20 families from our domestic adoption program for an adoptive family celebration at Holt-Sunny Ridge!
Through a community diaper drive, support for the H20 golf outing and gala, and outreach to women facing unplanned pregnancies, we’re seeking to engage community members in Bolingbrook and surrounding areas.
Thanks to everyone who came out for our annual summer picnic! From piñatas to swimming to connecting with other Holt-Sunny Ridge families, it was a great time! Our staff members love catching up with families and watching their children grow.
We are dedicated to supporting you and your family for life. See our list of upcoming events and classes for adoptive families and adoptees of all ages.
This September and October, a trip to Six Flags and participating in a 5K are great ways you can support Holt-Sunny Ridge with the whole family!
Two weeks ago, Holt staff from across the U.S. and around the world gathered in Eugene, Oregon to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Holt International. More than 35 child welfare and orphan care experts from 12 countries — including Cambodia, China, Ethiopia, Haiti, India, Korea, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand, Uganda, Vietnam and from around the U.S. — came to share wisdom, ideas and inspiration as we continue seeking a world where every child has a loving and secure home.
The Holt-Sunny Ridge staff was represented at the conference by branch director, Amy Trotter, and domestic adoption and birth parent services director, Nancy Crouch. Nancy was among the week’s contributors, presenting on openness in adoption.
It was a wonderful week, full of passion, inspiration and hope for creating a better world for children. Here are some highlights from our time together.
