Holt-Sunny Ridge will host the Journey of Hope Adoptive Family Camp for adoptees and their parents this summer!
This three-day family camp is designed around the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)® parenting curriculum for domestic and international adoptees and their families. Even years after their adoption, some children may struggle with behavior regulation, attachment and social skills. With specialized assistance from TBRI practitioners, this camp will equip families with tools and strategies they can use to help their child learn self-regulation skills and deepen family attachment. Other activities include fun sensory games, art and four hours of EAGALA equine therapy!

Thank you for taking the time to take a glimpse into our life! We are Abbe and Jared. We are humbled by your courage and strength in taking this difficult step to choose adoption for your baby. We are parents already, so we know that words cannot express the love between parents and their child. We hope you find comfort in knowing that you have chosen a life where your baby will be a true blessing and is cherished everyday.

Dear Birth Family,
Hi! It feels weird to start a letter like this, writing to someone we haven’t even met, sharing things about ourselves in the hope that you allow us the joy of raising your child! We do not even know where to begin, except to say that we are thrilled you are looking at this book and hope that you feel we would be a wonderful family for your child!
We have always dreamed of expanding our family, but due to infertility issues, we have been unable to. Being able to have more children through adoption is very exciting for us. We are thrilled with the thought of having an open adoption to help maintain that connection to our child’s birth family culture, history, community, and heritage.
We want to thank you for taking the time to learn about our amazing family and for considering us as adoptive parents for your child.
Holt-Sunny Ridge and The Ranch of Hope Reins teamed up once again in June to offer the second Journey of Hope camp!
This camp has equipped, strengthened and given adoptive families the opportunity to learn from a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)® parenting curriculum. Adoption is a lifelong journey, and the Journey of Hope camp allows adoptees and their parents to learn new tools and strategies – specifically to help children learn self-regulation skills and deepen family attachment.
Every summer, Holt-Sunny Ridge families and friends come together to celebrate adoption at our summer gathering! We spend an afternoon meeting new people, eating yummy food and playing on the splash pad or playground.
Thank you to everyone who joined us this year! We had SO much fun with you, and we look forward to our next event together.
